Earth is not a perfect sphere, and due to variation in shape and density, gravity varies across its surface. This means as ice melts and water rises, these impacts are unevenly distributed. The mass balance project represents the variation in changing gravity representing water loss and gain across the surface of the earth as measured by the GRACE satellites. We can examine these changes in relation to changing soil moisture, populations, urbanization, cities, and terrain. Interactive available at: https://labs.aap.cornell.edu/node/1136
